"These tracks were born out of experimenting with a bit of self-imposed restraints. Afterlife was a particular sound palette I wanted to stick to and see what would come of it. 1 4 me was trying to challenge myself to keep an arrangement dead simple. They came out of a period that was actually really prolific for me and hope to share more soon, but these two stuck together with a playful spirit. Some fun for the end of summer, as we tread into winter" - JG

SBTRKT - Voices in My Head" [ft. A$AP Ferg]

“heres another song from my upcoming album.
i started this in London with an idea i recorded on an upright piano - took this to Los Angeles (set up at Fleas the Boat studio in Silver Lake) collaborating further with Stella (drums) & Emily (vocals) from Warpaint - took this back to london to work more arrangement ideas to it and finally a couple months later took that to New York (Downtown - The Roots were in the studio next door!) and collaborated with Ferg (out to our friend Callender for connecting us)
this is one of my fave tracks and seemed to be a fitting ending to the record too.
this started with me having a seed idea but seeing it grow way beyond that with these multi layers of collaboration and places. shout to ferg, stella and emily for their input!”

”I made All Under One Roof Raving whilst on the tail end of another year on the road with The xx. I was missing life in London and trawling through any music and videos that reminded me of home. One in particular I found very inspiring, Mark Leckey’s ‘Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore.’

I made this track in order to play out back home as I knew the year to come would be spent largely in the UK, DJing and making my own album. It serves as a reminder, not to take any time for granted at home or away.” Jamie xx
